Vita

I’ve been out of work for a few years now. I came to England with my husband for his cancer treatment, so I’ve spent the last couple of years in hospitals. Volunteering with VCG’s Enhanced Volunteering Project is a great opportunity for me.

Angela

Angela was diagnosed with dyslexia but despite this she has completed courses to a very high standard. She actively volunteers for the Community Learning Champions Project and was nominated by the Development Worker for the Individual Learner’s Award.

I was unemployed and finding it difficult to gain employment as I didn’t have the relevant work experience and I am shy and my confidence was low. In November 2011 I applied tp the Volunteer Centre for the six month placement on the Enhanced Volunteering Programme.
